I love catching a game whenever I'm in towm.

What are your favorite and least favorite MLB stadiums to attend a game?

For me, my favorite was easily Busch Stadium. The fans are extremely enthusiastic, the venue is incredible, and ballpark village was great.

Least favorite, undoubtedly Kauffman (Royals). I think I've been into Triple A stadiums that have been more scenic. It was a dead experience. You're sandwiched in between Arrowhead and I-70 with a view of an Embassy Suites or a Hampton Inn. The only food and drink options I recall near that flat, concrete oasis was a Taco Bell, Subway, and a Denny's.

favorite is Pittsburgh

least favorite is Philadelphia by a mile. Has that "we put a stadium in the middle of a parking lot way the frick away from downtown" vibe.

Favorite is the old Tiger Stadium in Detroit... it was in the middle of the ghetto but the stadium experience was fantastic... been there around 50 times and never had a bad time... but this was in the 70’s... least favorite??? The Astrodome......

Stadiums I have been to ranked favorite to worst:

1. Rangers Ballpark in Arlington
2. Arlington Stadium
3. Yankee Stadium II
4. Fenway Park
5. Wrigley Field
6. Target Field
7. Safeco Field
8. Yankee Stadium III
9. Astrodome
10. Minute Maid
11. Busch Stadium II
12. Great American Ballpark
13. PETCO Park
14. Dodger Stadium
15. Shea Stadium
16. Chase Field
17. Comerica Park
18. Kaufman Stadium
19. Guaranteed Rate Field
20. Citzens Bank Ballpark
21. RingCentral Coliseum
22. Angel Stadium

I agree with you about Kaufman but

RingCentral and Angel Stadium are both dumps but at least RingCentral had more engaged fans

Favorite the new Busch Stadium
Least Favorite Arlington Stadium. The bleachers left 3rd degree burns on your legs
Second least favorite was the Huber H Humphrey Metro Dome, it was so bland and being in the dome was just strange. Ive been in plenty of domes, that one just had a strange vibe to it.

Best-Oracle Park in San Francisco. Best baseball experience I’ve ever had. It is the total package.

Worst- I haven’t been to any current stadiums that I would consider bad but the old Arlington Stadium(Rangers)that was torn down around 94 was a complete dump. As a little kid I thought it was the greatest thing ever as I had never been to any other MLB stadium.

When it first opened in the 90's it was amazing. Enron/MMF I felt was somewhat interesting but I am not an Astros fan at all, so was not enamored with it. Definitely better than the Astro Dome though.

Been to Astrodome, Dodger Stadium, Wrigley, Fenway, and old Yankee Stadium. All 5 were/are awesome in their own way with all the history

As for modern day stadiums I haven’t had the chance to go to any outside the state of Texas besides Kauffman in KC which is nice enough but nothing special. Hoping to do Petco over Labor Day when the Stros travel to San Diego. SF and Pittsburgh are the top 2 on my bucket list right now. Never heard anything but the highest praise for PNC in Pittsburgh. Always heard Coors field was a great time too, hoping to do that one in the next year or 2

I went back in the late 90s... it was a nice enough park but didn't really stand out in my mind.

I'd have it middle of the pack.

1. Safeco
2. Wrigley
3. Fenway
4. Busch
5. Minute Maid
6. Astrodome
7. Ballpark at Arlington
8. Yankee Stadium 2.0
9. Kauffman
10. Dodger Stadium
11. Shea Stadium

Astrodome is bumped up for nostalgia's sake... I've seen more games there than all the rest combined.

Favorite - Camden Yards

Everything about that one felt unique.

I've only been to 10 active parks so by default its Kaufmann. Outside of the crown shaped video board, nothing stood out.

Ballpark in Arlington was awesome if you weren’t sitting in the sun. I have sat in great seats at night and it was a great experience. Also sat in the sun in a day game and it was pure misery

Feel like Minute Maid gets a little underrated. Especially in the fall and spring when it’s not blazing hot and the roof can be opened. The downtown backdrop behind LF is a great view. As for when the roof is closed I can see why it’s not remarkable to most people but it could def be worse

I would put Kansas City in the top 7-10ish easily. It’s one that I’m actually looking to revisit in next couple years. It had a lot of charm to it and IMO was the opposite of a dead experience. I had previously been to all 30 (though I haven’t been to the new Rangers ballpark yet)... so I have to say that I find your answer completely puzzling.

It was a lovely looking place, but it just seemed overall shitty for actually watching a game. Of course, I was a good ways up one of the upper decks (and, of course, in the sun for the early part of the game) the one time I went.

My favorite is Coors field, but it’s bias because I live in Colorado and I’m a Rockies fan. Best outside of that I’ve been to is Petco Park.

Worst I’ve been to by far is Tropicana field.

Anybody who doesn't have Progressive Field in their top 10, hasn't been to enough stadiums. It's the original of all the new builds.

Wow, I don't think I've ever heard anyone complain about Kaufman.

I mean, I’ll give you the fact that the location of Kauffman sucks, but the stadium itself is pretty nice. Never seen it knocked as much as in this thread

I have been to Kaufman too....meh. In the middle of a huge parking lot. No bars or restaurants within walking distance. The views are totally bland. Jut not my cup of tea.
