Where are you parking, sitting and staying? Are you going with friends or kids?

I like Kimi, but that type of attitude is terrible for the popularity of the sport.
Why? I love it. I root for Kimi just cause he doesn’t GAF.
“Kimi, you will not have the drink.”

Bring sunscreen and a hat, seriously. Beverages are expensive all over ($9-10 beers, $4-5 waters), but some booths like Johnnie Walker have free alcohol samples, and Alfa Romeo area has free coffee and free water bottles.

Drive or take the shuttle either way you have a ton of traffic and it is expensive.
Don't be afraid to get their really early. Lots of stuff to see/do and there will be things on track for a lot of the day.
As EventHorizon said, expect lots of sun and wind. Lots of walking even if you park close.
Even long lines seem to move fast.

Thanks for the advice. Im bringing my college son for his birthday. Well be down just that Friday- Im in the grandstand. Should get the parking pass from stub hub?
As the earlier poster said- we should get there early (11AM, earlier?)
Ive only been to the No Prob raceway- safe to assume this will be a little different?

You would think so, but Kimi is consistently one of, if not the most popular driver on the grid. If every driver acted like him it would be bad, but it works to have one "IDGAF" guy.
I would argue the robotic corporate drivers are worse for the sport. F1 needs a variety of personalities. Vettel, Verstappen, Hamilton, Ricciardo, and Kimi make up for the Bottas's of the grid.

Friday only parking is $25 on the COTA website. Traffic hasn't been an issue arriving to the track, especially on Friday. You guys should have fun. Check out the Merch trailers by the amphitheather. If you can ease your way into the turn 15 bleachers in that area, they are the best seats and great for pics.

For existing fans of the sport, yes. I'm talking about bringing in new blood.

Is this the year of "Brakegate" for Renault?
They have been accused of a system that sets brake bias automatically based on track position.

Saw that challenge after the race. Definitely have been holding that card for a few weeks to make sure maximum points are lost this season.
Supposedly, the background is a former Renault engineer got a new job and spilled the beans. Easy way to allow intellectual property to be copied is to challenge and reveal the secret.

I really don't think he believes he did anything wrong. Spoiled brat.
Why the hell would you not lift?

Guys who become world champion all have this entitled self-centered attitude. Jacques, Schumacher, Alonso, Vettel, Hamilton, they're all the same. There are exceptions—Damon, Mika, and Jenson are relatively "nice guys."
Max has the (bad) attitude and skills, so it's a good bet that he's a future world champion, as long as he makes the right decision on his next contract.

Disappointing penalty for Max, but he should have lifted up. Hoping he can make it up today. He needs to have a good start for once.

Anyone else watch the pre-race stuff? Man these 3rd world countries go all out.

I can’t tell if something is wrong with Max’s timer or if he is really really fast.
