A great example of how much of a joke reporting/journalism/research/facts are in today’s world. What a scam

Game Highlights

Former Bishop Sycamore player Aaron Boyd has spoken out and given some troubling details on the dynamic of the team. He admitted there is no campus or form of education and that the team regularly pays hotels with bounced checks. Furthermore, players had to sleep on the floor of hotel rooms and often robbed stores just so they could eat. The more details come out, the more this sounds like a movie in real life. Unbelievable.

BS’s Friday game just got cancelled. But I know there’s one school ready to play them:

I've actually been to an FAU home game, at their old stadium. If my old photobucket account was still active, I would post a picture of the single wide trailer they had on beams for the "pressbox" at this glorified high school stadium.

Their new stadium, while small, is actually nice.

It’s like 80,000 a kid. They’re probably not skimping on textbooks
That 80k goes towards trainers, athletic facilities, and the owners.
Let's not pretend that the goal of IMG is to provide a top quality education. It isn't.

It’s amazing this can happen to ESPN. Incredible really.

ESPNU on the guide says it's showing the replay right now but its showing St. Frances vs St. Thomas Aquinas. Sucks

You can still watch it on the app

I watched this game and tried to look up bishop sycamore on Google.....not a damn thing. How does ESPN not do a simple vetting process.

I would seriously consider firing high level executives over this. A well-run organization wouldn’t allow this to happen. This game was on ESPN not ESPN+ or ESPN the Ocho - main ESPN.
It honestly wouldn’t surprise me. This is a huge black eye and really calls into question their recruiting service and evaluations. How can a company that puts out a nationally ranked list of athletes not realize a school they’re hyping has no athletes on said list? It’s pathetic.

The fact that ESPN has such little programing they have to show high school games in the first place is pathetic.
ESPN created football players being prima Donna's. They have so much at stake with college football they started showing the ALL Star games. Then high school games. Then national signing day coverage. Then kids choosing which school to go to at halftime during all star games by picking hats.
ESPN is fully responsible for NIL and the mess that college football has become and driving away the rest of the country by sucking up to the SEC.
They want college football to become a pro league. Eventually their will be one conference, SEC, and that will be the college football league. Just like the NFL. They've taken a good thing, which many people loved, and bastardized it to the point many college fans, outside of the SEC/Clemson/Ohio State, have become apathetic to college football.

Dad just seems like a guy who thinks his son is gonna be an NFL star.
I didn't get that at all from the dad. What I got was that they wanted an opportunity for the kid to play QB. He got a scholarship to YSU so it's not like he's a terrible player.
ETA: Compared to what I saw from parents in AAU basketball that dad seems pretty rational. The whole paying for hotels and food? Commonplace. I had a kid who's mom sent $20 with him for an entire weekend at Clemson.
For the Myrtle Beach event in July the coaches would go grocery shopping and load the kids rooms up with water, stuff to make sandwiches, snacks, etc. to try to minimize our expenses. The kids were appreciative. Their parents? Not so much. Rarely got as much as a thank you. That was fine. We did it for the kids.
