The Lakers want to wait till July 6th so they can get another +10 million in cap space. They need to wait because they wouldn't even have the cap space.

If they did the trade now it would hurt them.

The Pelicans benefit with this as well because it opens up another 4 to 5 million in cap space for them.

Again, damn you guys are desperate and stupid.

This one went right over your head... as you called others stupid

The Pelicans also own 3 wizards 2nds which are basically low first round picks.

I hope everything works out for the Pels, but you're just getting more and more ridiculous.

Pick 35 in the draft? What an asset.

Pelicans playing chess while Lakers playing checkers. This is similar to 1989 Herschel Walker trade, we can all agree on that

You and Bunch are embarrassing because you're emotional, hyperbolic, and often wrong.

You're over the top fanatical and spin the most illogical things to a positive for your team. Hell, you're suggesting Kemba is going to be made whole with a Space Jam 2 role.

Pelicans likely to trade #4 pick to either Chicago or Phx, for their '19 first rounder and 2020 1st round (protected)

I definitely agree that second round picks don’t really mean shite, but pick 35 in ‘22 or ‘23 whenever the NBA gets rid of the one and done rule will definitely have some value. That draft will have 1.5-2x the talent of a normal draft. You’ll be paying a first round talent second round money.

I thought Pels wanted veteran in trade for #4?

I think it makes sense to acquire more assets for the very near future.

In that one year, maybe, but otherwise 2nd round picks are basically worthless. The non guaranteed aspect is the only value.

Trading 4 for a veteran would be the same poor line of thinking that the Pels used in 2013. I’d rather take our chances with young players and rookie deals than trade for some veteran to get to 43 wins

At a certain point, having an excess of young players can be a detriment from a culture-building perspective.

Jrue is 29 and the rest of the roster is like 22 and younger. I'm fine with taking a guy at 4, but it's not like last time where our entire roster save for AD is in their mid 20s already.

You need at least a couple of guys in the room that don't need a ton of development and can mentor and take pressure off the yutes.
