Talented guy but judgement was impaired running down a highway drunk at night.

That is just awful news. I once had a blowout coming home from a game one night. There was fortunately a decent amount of shoulder on the road. But it was unsettling changing a tire while vehicles are buzzing by right next to you at 70 mph or faster. I'm a sitting duck if some idiot doesn't pay attention to the road.

The question is, what the heck was he doing walking down the Interstate, and trying to cross? Any chance it was a suicide?

I thought he was really out of line years ago when he tweeted a picture of Pierre Paul's gnarly hand injury after the fireworks accident. There was no need to go to that extent. Clayton or Mortensen would never stoop to that level.

Could be suicide
Could have been drunk and trying to get back to where he was stayin
Could have had headphones in and not paying attention
Could just be a freak accident
It is sounding more and more like the latter is the least likely

I’ve been glued into the Masters so I’m just now hearing about this but could he have been on the shoulder and the dump truck fell asleep or something?
Also, this could be the end for Schefter. He’s only relevant bc the players give him info but if they all hate him that’s done.

There's definitely more to the story that will come out in due time. I'm thinking maybe he did it purposely. Hope I'm wrong.

People tend to overestimate how much time they have to cross a highway. Vehicles look like they're far away and then they're right on you.
At 70 mph, a vehicle covers a football field in 3 seconds.

I wonder if he had a vehicle issue after his phone died or something and was trying to walk somewhere to get access to a phone
