So he wasn’t out of his vehicle after an accident and was actually just trying to run across the interstate?

Pretty much. Highway Patrol said they didn't know why he was there and that he was trying to cross the highway when he was hit. So it seems like they didn't find his vehicle in the area.

Terrible to hear. Thoughts and prayers for the Haskins family

Schefter has made horrible tweets that show no compassion in the past. I wouldn’t mind seeing him end up cancelled at some point.

What a pussy post. Jesus.

Schefty's account is set to where the slightest unfavorable comment gets you auto blocked.

Sounds like he is the pussy.

There are so many guys out there that regurgitate what he says anyway. Its easy not to follow him anymore

He does have a history of tweeting out a picture of someone's medical chart. That is pretty bad journalistic standards.

The dude is a robot. That tweet was as if Haskins was just cut from a team. I don't think he realizes how bad it is until he gets called out on it

Maybe.. but after reading comments here and on other sites, watching a little tv coverage and then going to pick up lunch and listening to a couple of satellite radio sports stations- it’s seems as though THE big story today is Adam Shefter’s tone deaf tweet, and not Dwayne Haskins death… totally over the top reaction in my opinion .

Calling for someone to be “cancelled” because you think they tweeted something insensitive is the epitome of pussy.

Schefter is a douche for tweeting that though.

We might very well find out that he just finished up a night of partying and was trying to walk home for some reason

I'm kind of curious why he is in south Florida. He was from Maryland, went to Ohio State, and was on the Pittsburgh Steelers roster. Just wondering.

Not insulting if that's part of his biography, but Schefty isn't remembered for that . When Scott Norwood dies he'll be remembered for missing a game winning FG in the Super Bowl for the Bills. Not an insult to Scott, but a part of his biography.

This isn't the time to report a biography. It was a piece of news.

Saying Dwayne Haskins, the former first round QB pick of the Redskins and new Pittsburg Steeler, was killed in an accident.

That's the important part of his biography

Update: Dwayne Haskins was walking on I-595 for reasons that are currently unknown, and tried to cross lanes with oncoming traffic and was struck by a dump truck, per the Florida Highway Patrol.

From what I understand Mitch Trubisky was organizing workouts down there.

Its just weird to me.

Say Schefty gets hit by a car and the news said:

"Schefter, a standout at The Denver Post before struggling to get on with ESPN and the NFL Network, died today..."

Schefter just has a weird transactional slant to his tweet. It's in poor taste but I guess kinda makes sense, at least to him, given his job on Twitter. But Gil Brandt barely stopping short of saying I'm glad he's dead is just some bs.

Thanks. I looked it up and see Trubisky was trying to organize team workouts this week. Players down there were:

QB Dwayne Haskins

WR Chase Claypool

TE Pat Freiermuth

WR Cody White

RB Najee Harris
