That’s the best part. He is one of those people that will shout from the hilltops, spewing thoughts as if they are definite fact. And while he expects you to listen and agree, he won’t respect the views of anybody else...because he is black and you are not.

I think I somewhat get what he is trying to say. Maybe idk.

But these owners own the team. They do not own the employees. Let's not get those 2 things confused.

It’s not like they all of a sudden started referring to them as “owners.”

When Walter Brown founded and owned the Celtics in the 1940s and they were 99% white he was still referred to as the team owner.

There’s that trump card, can’t use logic against me...you just don’t get it!

If Peter Guber and Joe Lacob walk in, I'm going to say, 'Hey, here's my owner Joe Lacob; here's my owner Peter Guber.' Bob [Myers] is going to say, 'Hey, here's my owner Joe Lacob.'

Literally no one says this. They say, "Here's the owner"

Saying "my" is what makes it sound weird and no one does that

Does anyone take this guy seriously? Why do these guys get a platform to spew ignorance when they are basically a traveling circus of trained entertainers putting a ball in a hoop.

When Draymond calls himself an owner in his Twitter bio, it ceases to be a discussion and it should just be us pointing and laughing at him.

Lol he so fricking stupid.

This speaks to the larger political climate today as it relates to social justice. You have a bunch of morons similar to Draymond Green screaming at people about what’s unfair about society when they don’t have a basic understanding of how society works. They are trying to dictate change that is based completely on their own ignorance.

Then you have people who are actually intelligent who are in charge who have to take them seriously in public for fear of being called a racist instead of calling them out on their absolutely mind-numbingly retarded bull shite.

And some even cater to these absolute morons to prove how not racist they are.. and then when those in charge cater to them what you get is the inmates running the prison :)

I don't know where Green is going with this ,but there is a reason these "inamates" receive over 50% (?) of the NBA revenue . And an " inmate" like LeBron James can cost you Hundreds of Millions of dollars in revenue / Franchise value when he "escapes".

Sounds like a Partnership instead of the complete control you seem to want Franchisees to wield. Like Donald Sterling they can always cash out if they feel like the inmates have usurped control. Fans like you can also stop spending your hard earned money on League Pass ,tickets & whatever scheme they use to sucker a few more bucks out of suckers( fans).

You control animals. You work with people.

WTF is this dude talking about...

quote:

"When you look at Mark Cuban, for instance, with the whole equity thing -- we all can own equity and that's fine. But Mark Cuban will never know or understand how it feels for me, a young black African-American, to turn on the TV and see what happened in Charlottesville. He'll never have that feeling.

"So, when I say, 'Hey maybe we shouldn't use that word,' to be honest, I really don't expect him to understand where I'm coming from because he'll never feel what I feel when I turn on the TV and see however many people are taken down by the KKK or whatever group it was. He'll never know that feeling that I have about that.
