Reportedly Rodney Hill from FSU, a former three star who was 3rd string this year and possible starter next year, wanted $400,000. That's what Trey Benson got this year as the #2 RB on Kiper's big board. He was told no, then announced the portal thinking we would pony up, Mike Norvell told him to kick rocks. Rodney ended up at Florida A&M with less of the NIL he got this year, and none of the TV exposure he would have gotten at FSU. These kids are going to have to learn the hard way about humility and self awareness

i think its hilarious how so many people frame NIL as this awful thing that the kids are pushing for and they need to be put in their place

when its just a by product of these schools and coaches treating CFB like the NFL for the last 20 years

The coaches never claimed they were amateurs, nor did they get scholarships for coaching

I think he was just saying it’s sad that kids can get all gassed up to demand their bag when a ton of them are expendable as hell.

I think it’s funny when a kid tries to strong arm a school and ends up going from FSU to some FAMU shite.

College football generates a lot of money. The people complaining still turn the games on every chance they get. If you have a problem with what they are making just stop watching. Same with the NFL. Americans love their sports too much though so that won’t happen.

Personally I have taken a step back since having kids since they have been injecting politics and the false narrative that athletes should be looked at as role models. They are entertainers and that’s it just like movie stars. No need for all the other bullshite.

NIL can be shitty for CFB, and CFB can shitty for using student athletes as a cash cow for so many years.

Those two things aren't mutually exclusive but people always have to pick sides.

Wait till NIL really comes into fruition. The buying and bidding openly is just getting started.

Michigan #21 is an outlier and not long for this new climate.

Alabama is #170 nationally ranked. That's gonna be the norm...To the new 10th degree.
