One of many independent studies that have come out in the last few years tearing the wells report to shreds for being phony science that worked to the result it was asked to get instead of coming up with their own
They didn’t even have a reliable control group to compare the patriots footballs too, as they never checked the colts balls and multiple pressure gauges they used to measure the balls were faulty or broken and done by officials who had no idea what they were doing.
This isn’t 2014 so I’m not going to go back and forth on this, I’ve done that plenty, the people who take that whole fiasco seriously are firmly in the minority these days

Losing a first is a big fricking deal. That blows for them. 3rd ain’t great either, but a first with their shitty team is probably a top 15 pick and franchise level talent.
