If tweet fails to load, click here. I understand it’s cool to watch a 7’4” dude extend up and block shots, but Wemby’s 12 blocks last night was an absolute sham. Call the goaltend

There has never been a sports league that caters to its superstars like the NBA does

I agree but soccer is right there with the NBA.

What a joke of a sport

They also don’t call carrying or travels either. It’s all about the optics for fans at this point.

I can’t figure out why players like SGA and Wemby get superstar treatment while ANT rarely gets the benefit of the call. You’d think the NBA would actually try to help a likeable American superstar

Every player gets away with traveling. What happened last night was the NBA letting one specific player get away with breaking the rules. If Golbert had played like that last night he would’ve fouled out of the game

I didn’t want to be the dude whining about the refs last night but it was very clear the refs were trash. It mostly accrued to neither team’s benefit IMO, but they were very inconsistent with foul calls, and they wouldn’t have called goaltending on Wemby to save their mommas lives lol. It was bad.
Thankfully the game was good in spite of that, and even if Wemby “only” had 8 “legitimate” blocks, that’s still insanely good. But yes the sport has a serious problem with inconsistent refereeing and “stars” getting preferential treatment.

The problem with not calling goaltending is the violations not being called takes points off the board. Laughable shite. Hilarious they still lost.

Anthony Edwards is likable? Dude knocked up some chick and offered her 100K to have an abortion, then bragged about having enough money to cut a check to cover all the child support at once. Sounds like a standup guy.

Ideally they would change the score. But I think doing that retroactively to fix “missed calls” would probably start a shitstorm, especially the first time it changes the outcome of the game.
So failing that, surely this should be booth reviewable the way that 2-pt vs 3-pt shots are.

What about traveling ?
Every time they roll the ball to Brunson, he picks it , takes 4 steps, then dribbles.
