No one is saying it was great, but he had them competing. And they were a fun watch. I'll take that over this horrible product we have right now.

4-12
7-9
8-8
3-2 (fired mid season)

Vs since
7-5
6-11
7-10
4-13

Doesn’t seem all that different besides the difference between having a middle of the road QB in Carr or having flat out no QB like Aiden Occonell

And atleast having flat out no QB gets you better draft picks to try to solve that problem.

I actually think he did a good job. It’s been said that Gruden handled the first 2-3 rounds then turned the draft her to Mayock. If you look at the years they were in Vegas, the later rounds were where they had success. It was the Gruden picks that were a complete disaster.

Back when Mayock was on the NFL Network and did draft coverage I always liked him. Seemed legitimately smart/knowledgeable/good scout.

Meanwhile you had Gruden on ESPN who I for sure thought he was going to leave the set after Johnny Manziel was drafted because that is all he could talk about the entire broadcast and wanted every team to pick him regardless of their QB situation.

don't understand how a team that has moved cities four times in the past 45 years even has any fans who could possibly be invested enough to care.

If you’ve moved cities four times in the same general region, odds are you have MORE fans than most other teams

Did their old fans follow them, or do they have a new fan base in Vegas?

I wonder who even really roots for the Raiders now. Vegas is such a transient city, the Raiders have been in Oakland and L.A., it has to be a weird hodgepodge.

There's people who will always root for the Raiders because of their image as the Raiders (and plenty of those in LA and Oakland), and there will always be Vegasphiles around the country that'll root for them for being Las Vegas.

I don't feel sorry for the franchise or the fans. Raiders are the team of miscreants and thugs, all the gangstas and thugs wore a Raiders cap, jersey, jacket, etc.

The Raiders have been in Vegas for 5 seasons. So I couldn't really give a shite about a fan holding a sign about how long it's been since.

Why would anyone feel bad? Ultimatehog says every draft and FA signing is a home run and the league is just dumb. I should be jealous

I’m a neutral party (Saints fan) Was in Vegas for a conference on a night they hosted Monday or Sunday night football.

The trash exiting that stadium onto the strip was like nothing I’ve ever witnessed. Grown Mexican men screaming “Raaaaaaaiders” into the face of old ladies in Vikings jerseys

frick that fanbase. They deserve pain.

The Raiders are like the Cowboys, a massive brand even outside the US. That's why they're 2nd in the NFL in revenue behind only Dallas with a good sized gap to #3.

Love where the roster is, so many good youngsters.

Tolesco nailed his first draft but then again he built that Chargers roster so you knew he could draft among the best of the best and it showed. Need another one of those with a real head coach.

Broncos fan is salty they have lost 8 of 10 to the Raiders and their team also has no shot at winning anything. Color me shocked.

Really good 4-13 team.

How’d this raiders team with many good youngsters do against the broncos this season? Surely one of those eight wins came this past season?
