And it's really not much of a debate. All due respect to the legendary Al Michaels.

If you've never heard Doc call a game, I highly suggest flipping the channel to NBCSN and check out the 3rd period of the Caps & Pens.

You're welcome.

Agreed. Hockey also strikes me as the most difficult sport to do PBP because of the speed of the action.

I'd like to hear him call another sport...just to see how he is with it.

I don't know why they don't use him more on the network

I have some complaints about him but they are mostly just nitpicky stuff. For the most part, yeah he is very good at what he does.

Hockey fans are so lucky we have a guy like Doc calling the games. It's a shame they surround him with such liabilities, but he is terrific, no matter who they pair him with.

I'm no hockey fan, but I remember watching the last Olympics and saying to myself, "damn this announcer is good". It was Doc.

Did Vin ever do anything but baseball?

I used to like Curt Gowdy, who did 'em all for NBC.

Vin did football for CBS was main guy for a bit. I believe he did the Catch game. I try to block that from my memory though.

A very under rated guy is Sean McDonough. He can do the 4 major sports very easily and is natural at all.

Always liked Emrick.

Vin Scully and Dick Enberg were both outstanding at multiple sports back in the day....and are still easy on the ears.
