College or pro.

This would be a replica of a jersey featuring the number used by a player and that player’s name

Sure, plenty of times. Though I haven't in some time, so many players are transitory now that it seems like a waste of money.

Not sure why this triggers some folks but that actually makes me more likely to wear one

Every real man is going to silently judge another man by what he wears. Doesn’t mean “he cares”

If I see a dude wearing his shorts around his knees where I can see his arse I judge him. Same as if I see a guy wearing cowboy boots.

When I see a guy with a tight fade and a pro sports jersey, I pretty much know what I’m getting

I had a #11 Shula jersey in the mid ‘80s when I was 7-8 years old. No interest in that sort of thing as an adult. IMHO, I think it’s kind of beta. But to each his own.

I have two closets full of soccer jerseys. I don't really wear them, just collect them. My most recent is an Olivier Giroud AC Milan authentic with the Scudetto on it.

My dad collects guns, so I basically inherited his passion for hoarding stuff, albeit a gayer one.

If I did, it wouldn't be Army's from yesterday. Yuk.

I’ve never had the urge to get one but for some reason, when I see one on a guy it doesn’t even register that they’re wearing another guy’s name on their back.

When I type it I understand the issue, though.

The same people who usually complain about this are the ones who give money to an athletic department like they aren’t fanboys themselves over 18 year olds

What’s the difference between wearing their name on your back and paying to go support them?

I have countless, but I’ll only wear one if I’m going to a game or something.

I prefer to have random ones, like Tim Biakabutuka, Quincy Carter, Heath Shuler, etc.

This is an issue for me. My house doesn’t show it, but I collect all sorts of sports memorabilia for my favorite teams. I don’t necessarily enjoy doing it from a financial perspective, but it’s fine. Game used jerseys, bobbleheads, autographs. It’s a hobby, but I wish I had a narrower scope of things to collect.

I enjoy collecting a few more than wearing them. I know people on YouTube that have hundreds in their collection.
