MLB.tv has a free game of the day. Just have to create an account. If nothing else is on, I'll go to the MLB Roku app and see if the free game of the day is on.

Also, Roku has a Sunday morning/afternoon game every week.

I quit watching when BLM appeared on the pitchers mound. Used to never miss a game, would stream it at my desk. Loved the Braves, it hurts.

The season is FAR too long and people get too easily bored with it now. Reduce the season to 100 games and have the playoffs during NFL preseason.

I understand how someone with an IQ of a grape would come to this conclusion.

It's still being watched. But primarily on channels the average viewer isn't accustomed to. There are a bunch of games today on MLB Network and Apple TV. TBS has games on Tuesday night.

Looks like it. And this chart ends in 2018. It's likely much lower now.

Aren’t ratings based on percentage of people, and thus shrink because there are more things to watch?

World Series or at least the pennant race needs to be in August. Baseball is a summer sport, why drag it out into football season when casuals stop caring?

Exactly. Why try to compete with the heart of football season? And I’m not even talking about playoffs. Look at how many empty stadiums there are later in the season. When you give people 168 opportunities to watch a game, they’re going to spread those out. Less games will lead to fuller stadiums and more people watching at home.

They’re already trying to make the games go by quicker because people get bored with it to easily. The writing is on the wall. We are no longer a society that has the patience to sit through an entire game and do so over the course of an entire season.

Ratings are up so not sure what anyone saying otherwise is smoking —

Fox: +10 percent
MLB Network: +13 percent
TBS: +16 percent
ESPN: +22 percent
MLB. TV: +27 percent
18-34 demographic: +69 percent

Fair enough. Maybe baseball fans have started coming back. If it’s working, then don’t change anything. I just remember viewership and attendance struggling some years ago.

It’s beyond stupid that there arent nationally televised baseball games for 12 straight hours on the 4th of July.
NFL has Thanksgiving
NBA has Christmas
College football has new years

Baseball is America. I should be able to watch baseball all day today.
