Do not forget that the Big 10 tried to cancel college football last year.

Do not let the Big 10 off the hook.
While the CFB and CBB seasons last year were still a joke due to stupid, unnecessary capacity restrictions and COVID testing protocols, I suppose it was better than nothing.
And the Big 10 tried to cancel it. They listened to the "science" and partnered with woke sports reporters turned COVID fear monger champions like Dan Wolken, Pat Forde and Stewart Mandel to say that if we played football, 3-7 players would die and therefore we can't do it. Websites like /r/cfb on reddit were also cheerleading on the Big 10 and cancelling the season and organizing social media pressure campaigns to ensure no football was played.
Not only did no one die, but no one was even hospitalized.
Just a reminder.

What do you want us to do exactly?

Were there even any coaches or staff in any sport at any collegiate level hospitalized and had serious complications?
The Big 10 had to beg their way back in and change rules on the fly just to pretend to be relevant. Laughable

Don't need a reminder that they and their fans are soft.

Indiana had an OL end up in critical condition but that’s the only one I can think of.

The only way we ended up being over .500 was by beating a terrible ACC team in a bowl named after mayonnaise. Our offense was putrid for most of they year, so me and my liver sort of wish it was cancelled.

The cfb offseason must be that boring to you outside of NIL to start this kind of thread.

To me it's not even that they tried to cancel the season. It's that they got bitch snapped by the SEC, had to come back with their tail between their legs, arbitrarily imposed stupid contact tracing protocols, and then realized that they were going to miss on the playoffs so they had to change their championship game rules
Honest to God one of the most pathetic run of months I've seen from a sport organization

As we point out their irrational behavior they get stronger. It’s over. We lost.

The offense was bad, for sure, but I didn't dwell on it past the Duke's Mayo Bowl...
- The COVID outbreak, which affected players and staff alike, forced Wisconsin to shutter its program and cancel multiple games.
- Due to injuries, two best receivers sat out the rest of the season after beating Michigan.
- Paul Chryst took the year off from play-calling because other factors, due to COVID, requiring his attention.
- Over half of the roster just went through their first spring practices this year.
Not that Wisconsin would have been title contenders, but it was a throwaway year. Excited to see this team back and healthy this go-around.

Kevin Warren openly stated that he wanted to use his influence to help swing the election.

I'm shocked the SEC stood as strong as they did with the way progressive politics seems to dominate many of the schools now.

Also do not forget that Ohio State was the leader, along with Nebraska, who wanted to play and never wanted the season cancelled.
Also do not forget that Michigan literally cancelled the game last season because they were scared of losing by 40...which is the reason the B1G had to change the rules.
But keep on hating no problemo

Ahem. There was one other Big Ten school that stood up and pushed to play.

Row the boat and 100% of his players were in agreement to not play football. Also we shite on the ACC around here but they but they were first ones to say we don't give a shite we are playing.
