LeBron is one of those stars that hasn’t always been getting the calls that other stars would get.

Anyone who says either Lebron or MJ is better "and it's not close" you can immediately just exclude those folks from any debate on the topic as they're wayyyy too biased.

Both dudes have a legit argument as being better than the other.

Only other thing I'd add, I'm not necessarily saying he has to be #1 or #2, but Kareem is awfully disrespected in these discussions. Those 3 all belong in the discussion in some form.

They said that about Jordan for his entire career

Jordan was the GOAT the entire time KAJ was the All-Time scoring leader, and nothing will change just because Lebron takes KAJ place.

MJ went to college, Lebron didnt

MJ took almost 4 years off, Lebron didnt

1072 - MJ games played
1391+ - Lebron games played

1039 - MJ games started
1390+ - Lebron games started

30.1 - MJ ppg
27.1 - Lebron ppg

MJ = GOAT

Guy doesn’t get touched for 20 years and everyone is “amazed” at how athletic he is at 38. 90 Eastern Conf finals probably took 3 years off of MJ’s career.

Yea, because there's a bunch of 38 year olds putting up numbers these days.

It was also easier to score back then if you have a basic understanding of defensive rules then and now.

I don't care what anyone says, Lebron lacks something that players like Jordan or Kobe had.

First, Jordan & Kobe were not really record chasers. Well not to the degree James is. They really didn't give a shite about other things outside of basketball.

This doesn't include their family and of course they were in commercials, but when it came down to it basketball... Well, being the best they could be at what they did what they cared about. Lebron tries to get involved in social issues.. And hey, that's cool. If that what someone wants to do thats on them, but personally if I had to pick LJ in his prime or Kobe in his prime give me Kobe and Lebron isn't better than Jordan.

Lebron isn't even the best player of his era and if the other guy wins another one, that'll be game set match on the argument

What a stupid arse statement. Anyone who followed the NBA during his career know Dirk is never the kind of guy who tries to pump up his own accomplishments. He is self deprecating almost to a fault.

I’m sort of running out of arguments for Michael

i'm a Lebron fan, but this is retarded... arguments for both guys can be made...

IMO, it's Jordan 1a, Lebron 1b... it's hard to ignore what Lebron has done, but it's also hard to dismiss what Jordan did... i'm just happy to have watched a ton of both of them in their primes...

Lebron could finish with about 10,000 more points, 5,000 more rebounds and 5,000 more assists that MJ.

He will be 1st in points, top 5 in assists, and probably top 25 in rebounds when he retires.

wonder what dirk would think if MJ hadn't spent 3 years of his youth in college and was putting up stats in the NBA instead?

Not to mention being retired for a little while in between.
