What’s the suitman significance? I know he was HBO dude, but did he and portnoy have issues?

Tried to sabotage Call Her Daddy, one of the biggest podcasts on barstool.

Deion will have his own Podcast breaking down each NFL weekend. He seemed very excited about being able to say whatever he wanted to now.

I loved Deion as a kid, but I do not find him appealing in this space. What does he bring to the table?

Suitman was also behind the HBO Real Sports hit piece. What a slime ball.

i've really only been following Barstool for the last year or so but I did relish in the bottle of Dom for Deadspin and Suitman now that i understand them in context.

never listened to call her daddy, but i did follow it for a bit just because of the drama.

Halfway similar to Russillo leaving ESPN for the ringer

Why didn’t Russillo go work at Barstool? Is he even working in sports anymore?

Yeah his podcast still does huge numbers for the Ringer.

Idk what exactly his decision making was on that but I’m sure part of it had to do with him moving to the West Coast where the ringer is located and Barstool being based on the east coast.

And he also might not want to deal with the extra baggage that can come at barstool (random internet drama, hit pieces, dealing with Portnoy, etc).

Deion only knows football.

He doesn’t respect anyone that really hasn’t played & I don’t think punter McAfee counts .

He’s not funny, intentionally.

So I wonder who they put next to him for football stuff.

I guess he can get big name players for interviews, though Barstool can get big names on their own, but I doubt him interviewing players would be interesting at all.

McAfee left barstool like 2 years ago, bunchie. He's doing podcast(s) with Jamie Dukes and I'm sure a pre game nfl show with Dave and Dan.

Takes himself more seriously now and probably thinks of the Ringer as a more legit media outlet, though the only good thing simmons every did was the 30 for 30 stuff. Russillo thinks he’s a writer now, his podcast is pretty crappy. He misses SVP’s balance

Jamie Dukes is doing the podcast with him.

I think this could be a really good fit but it also will depend on Deion putting in the effort to really push out content and join in on everything barstool has going on. I’m not sure he has it in him at 53, coaching the kids team, etc
