He wanted a bigger deal.
Watson has to get paid a trillion.
It isn't always about the players in the trade.

He has 3 years left on his current contract

They traded him for a price as if he had 1 year and were panicking

There is no way one of the other 30 teams not involved wouldn't have offered a 1st and more for Nuk.

Lots of teams with offensive weapons might be willing to pay that too.

I fail to see what else The Texans have to offer him. Why would he stay with the bullshite hes currently dealing with?

Even if that was the case, it doesn't mean you trade Hopkins for David Johnson and some picks

They gave up a 4th and a top 3 guy at an important position and couldn't get a 1st back.

Might be true. But Hopkins and his agent probably made it clear to whoever wanted him, that they better be ready to tear the current deal up.

He would hold out. But Cardinals are going to make him the highest paid WR in the NFL. He is going to get a massive deal..

Stay tuned for what? Are the Cardinals gonna throw in a 1st now that it's hit the news cycle?

"we need more draft capital due to the terrible trades I've made as GM. The only logical solution to get us out of this mess is to make more terrible trades."
