Stay tuned for what? Are the Cardinals gonna throw in a 1st now that it's hit the news cycle?

When he is getting paid 20 mil a year you will see why teams didn't want to give up a first for him. Not many teams can afford that at WR and if they are giving up a 1st it is a lot to ask for with considering the contract. Kyler makes this possible.

They got a 4th too, so they didn't really give up a 4th.

It's not like he's making a couple mil a year now, he makes over 16 already. 3 more ain't scaring off the whole league.

The Texans woke up today without a first-round pick. They traded Deandre Hopkins. And still don't have a first-round pick.

BOB right now

The Texans have won frick all with Hopkins, have had contract issues with him before and he was already wanting a new contract when they haven’t signed their franchise quarterback to a long term deal.

They had their choice: Watson or Hopkins.

Hopkins, Brown, and Julio have been the top 3 WRs over the last 5 years and they have a combined 1 Super Bowl appearance in that time.

Feels like this must have been O’Briens idea. How do you propose David Johnson and a second for Deandre Hopkins and a fourth if you’re the Cards GM? You’d feel like a fricking idiot wasting everyone’s time.

I mean do you really ask for the 4th rounder too?

From a friend's post on FB:
"I think the Texans GM is trying to get the Texans head coach fired."

His current contract has a cap hit of 13 mil over the next 3 years with an out. It is a steal of a deal.
But he wasn't going to play on it. I am guessing 20 mil because of Mike T. But he may want more than him.

This is the NFL. Teams don't trade 1st to sign players for huge deals often.

NBA commissioner has voided trades before they felt were bad for a franchise I wonder if the NFL can do the same. There's no way with how the league is now a passing league you trade a top WR for a RB.

It is a guess. So yes.
He was not happy with his deal.
He wanted a new one.
Texans have to pay Watson. I assume this is a contract move.
Cardinals can afford him.

Yes, I made it up.

Well some random team is going to look very foolish if they traded two firsts for Tunsil and doesn't sign him to a long term deal.

this isnt even remotely similar to what happened with Chris paul. And even then, it damn near caused an epic shitstorm when that happened

Lol Texans. What a terrible organization. Who the heck is their WR when Fuller invariably gets hurt and misses multiple games?

I am never more consistently miserable than when I watch my hometown football team. from the second they announced the stupid arse name (houston texans, like what the frick?) and the gay arse logo (texas longhorns' metrosexual cousin tbh), it's just been a steady stream of mediocre piss right down my leg.

I'm seriously considering just giving up on them and being saints bandwagon guy.

Coutee is the only one worth a shite. Fuller is good for like 1 solid game a year, then he gets hurt or just disappears

They already look it. Doesn't mean every NFL team was just willing to handover a 1st for Hopkins. Traditionally teams value QB, OT, pass rusher.

I am not saying I agree with the deal. Just pointing out the possible issues. Texans can't afford to pay Watson and Tunsil if they redo Hopkins. Which he is wanting. Cardinals have Kyler, they can afford the highest player on their team to be a WR, not many can.
