Doesn't mean every NFL team was just willing to handover a 1st for Hopkins. Traditionally teams value QB, OT, pass rusher.

And a much worse WR goes for a 1st and other picks 8 hours later.

There has to be other NFL GMs calling BoB offering better deals for Nuk.

NFL people have not forgotten about Hopkins smearing his own feces all over that Indianapolis hotel room prior to the combine. Kid is a head case, but I am shocked that they broke up the Watson/Hopkins duo. They were awesome.

What’s the story behind that?

Trading the best WR in the league and a 4th round pick for a RB that hasn't been good since he got injured and a 2nd round pick. BoB must know he's getting fired so he's trying to frick the Texans. That's the only explanation I can think of. That, or he's on crack.

And you are being obtuse once again.
The soon to be contract has a lot to do with this. That was my entire point from the beginning.
Diggs will be paid pennies compared to Hopkins. Half of Hopkins. Hopkins wants a new deal.

Getting rid of the money crunch is part of the trade.

And once again, this is not me saying it was the right move.

When he is getting paid 20 mil a year you will see why teams didn't want to give up a first for him

So we are just making stuff up now

Dianna @diannaESPN After the Texans agreed to trade DeAndre Hopkins, sources told me Hopkins' reps told the Texans weeks prior he wanted a new deal paying him somewhere between $18- $20mil per year. The team was told Hopkins wouldn't show, if he didn't get the deal. Houston moved forward with trade

So, how has this turned out?

Disclaimer: once again not saying this was the right move, just pointing out things are not black and white.

Just saying they didn't want to pay him doesn't make the paltry return for him any better. Same for their terrible Clowney trade.

Yeah no. Plus Diggs doesn’t have the contract problems and off the field issues Hopkins has.
