the funniest part of this whole story is that the guy behind the fake twitter account is the lead singer of a Christian rock band!

Mike Golic said this morning that Manti wasn't like most of the other guys. Said he kept to himself a lot. Wasn't at the after game tailgates/gatherings and whatnot. Maybe they all thought he was just weird? They were right.

A normal "leader" of a football team and Heisman Trophy candidate doesnt do this.

Wouldn't matter
Clowney gets exposure because he is an absolute beast on the field
Te'o got exposure because he had a sob story and human interest angle, not because he was a great player
I follow HS recruiting and only remembered Te'o's name solely from his HS recruiting, other than that, his three years at ND up until last season was not a national story
