All of his friends that he lives with in the dorms or off campus, think of all of the Notre Dame football players that are his friends,

That means that all of these people were duped too because they had to have known they had never met. At least his close friends, they had to hear him talking on the phone 8 hours a night. They had to ask why they've never seen her. HAD TO.

They had to ask at some point if she was really real. People aren't this dumb.
