This is MUST SEE/HEAR!! Epic interview! Jim Rome's best work and Stern went toe to toe and floored him.

I think everyone wins in this interview. Except at the very end when Rome gets defensive and Stern gets petty.

Rome prefaced the question with "There's a lot of talk about the lottery being fixed" and seemed to be giving him an opportunity to make a reasoned explanation as to why it isn't fixed. Stern chose to go in the other direction. And let's face it, with the Hornets being owned by the league, I think it's still a legitimate question when you factor in him vetoing the Paul trade as well.

Agreed. Rome is a generally a douche, but Stern's response to the question was smug and combative. In fact, Stern was so defensive, he probably just reaffirmed that the lottery is fixed in the eyes of conspiracy theorists.

That being said, the interview was still hilarious.

I love how he speaks his mind and doesn't worry about being PC. The Colin Cowherd interview was awesome.

I don't blame Stern for the loaded question but then he got personal with calling Romes career a cheap trick. Kind of immature but Stern has always been obnoxious

I get that a lot of people don't like Rome. However, I heard the interview live and in no way was Rome guilty of anything other than getting offended at stern's smugness. Stern went bush league and made it very personal.

Rome has a long History with Stern pounding on the WNBA. For a long time the first question out of Rome's mouth would be, "So commissioner, when are you going to pull the plug on that abortion" or when are you gonna put that nag out of it's misery.

Rome loves to make fun of female athletes. I think Van Smack's act is finally fading fast. Houston, his first big affiliate dropped him for local content.

BTW His former friend and show producer Travis Rodgers has a great afternoon show in Houston, and the guy is really articulate, perceptive, and funny. In fact they make fun of Rome on his show all the time.

Can't listen to audio but that's just terrific to see. Nothing personal for or against either but it's nice once in a while to see the seeming authoritative figure in whatever context (politician, candidate, coach, CEO, Commish, etc.) fire back a good one at someone the interviewer takes a cheap shot and is expecting that person to just take it.

Not a fan of Rodgers or local radio in general. Houston mightve dropped him but Rome is gaining affiliates all the time. He's hardly going anywhere. And his making fun of the WNBA and the female athlete is great

What on earth is a reasoned explanation to that question? It is completely questioning the integrity of the league, and there is nothing new Stern can say that everyone doesn't already know.

Yeah, local Sports radio in Houston is pretty sad. 4 sports stations and nothing on. Used to like Granato and Zeirlein, but basically now it seems to all clown radio all the time. To me Palillo is consistent and Knowledgeable and has been for a couple of decades now.

I still listen to Rome, I'm actually in the San Antonio market, but he still can get adolescent at times. not that I mind him challenging Stern.

Now, when's he gonna go after Goodell!
