Wouldn't be surprised if they tried to find a stop gap but we have a prospect that should be ready early next season. Obviously that's super risky but I think alot of us are expecting Aledmys/Bregman to hold down SS the first month or 2. Not ideal but there's bigger holes we need to fill in free agency

Move Bregman to SS and sign Seager to a 2 or 3 year deal? Seager could move to 1B if need to as well.

Most of our starting pitching outside of Lance can’t put anyone away in the postseason.

We've seen Framber, Urquidy, and Garcia all step up and shut teams down in the postseason. The question is why they can't be consistent, just like the offense?

The offense disappearing in spurts is not a new thing with this team. It’s happened so many times. They just happened to disappear at the wrong time. Not shocked.

Yep. We worried whether we could get through a month without a slump because it had happened so often. Truth is, we didn’t look good down the stretch. 31-26 from July on. And that included a ton of games against sub 500 teams. But I think we as fans bought back in after the offense seemed to get on track against CWS. But then, even in spite of 9 runs in games 4-5 against Bos, you could sort of see this coming. A lot of the runs were results of huge single innings with not much sustained offense elsewhere.

The team is still really really good but less than the sum of parts. Altuve has turned into Springer which would be fine if we had another Altuve. Bregman is an injured headcase. Yuli and Uncle Mike had great seasons but have lost a lot of power. Yed has amazing raw talent but looks like he may be a bit of a headcase as well. He was a straight up clown in the WS. Tuck is on the rise but has a lot of bad ABs in key situations.

As pointed out in the DAT many times during the playoffs, this offense has become selfish. A good manager could address these issues…unfortunately…FODB.

Hell no to Kyle Seager. They aren’t going to add a guy with that swing and miss, he doesn’t fit the mold of what makes this team successful

Looking forward to our FODB off season moves. Man where do we even start to improve?

Either Sign Correa and go get Kris Bryant for 3rd and trade Bregman

or keep Bregman, move to short, get Kris Bryan for 3rd if unable to sign Correa

Find a catcher who can bat 200 at least

Get an ace

Buy low on David Fletcher. He can play SS, hardly ever strikes out, and looks a lot like what Altuve was when he first came up.

These guys are all really young and will hopefully continue to develop and learn how to be more consistent

Altuve's issue is that he has tried to become a power hitter because of the short porch in left.

Does he ever even hit a ball to the right side of the field? In the past he could shoot a ball there if he wanted to now he just tries to pull everything even when its obvious he could have a hit if he would just hit the ball where its pitched.

It's been very clear our GM doesn't see eye to eye with him.

The deal with continuing to play Straw until they finally traded him, then refusing to play Meyers for days and days was straight out of “Moneyball.”

Window just closed. Rotation is average at best. LMJ finally made it through a season without injury only to shockingly get injured at the most important time. Correa is gone. Bregman is a head case that may never recover. Yuli is 56 years old. Altuve and Brantley are both now on the back end of their careers. The catcher position continues to be a total joke. And looks like FODB will be back.

This is how I’m feeling right now. I’ll be back later (or not) when I feel differently.

I'm 100% on the FODB train. That being said, he wasn't the problem in the WS. Other than not moving Bregman down in the lineup sooner, he really did better than I expected with his decisions. That being said, being said, I do not want him back next year. That would be dumb.

The window isn't closed... But my dad is complaining that we are letting all the cool air out and that we need to close the window and stop running up his electricity bill.

LMJ will be fine,l but I don't see us being able to make it far with the starting pitching we currently have. I feel like a few of these guys are playing above their heads and are starting to come back to reality.

-Bregman needs to go on a vision quest out in the Albuquerque desert.
-Altuve needs a hitting coach that will teach him to stop ignoring the right side of the field.
-Please with Tucker's season as I was worried if he would work out but now I'm confident in him.
-In high pressure games, Yordan probably needs to be hidden a bit as he doesn't seem to respond well consistently
-Brantley is getting old and losing power.. maybe 1 more season
-Yuli is a toss up because its clear he is at the age where he should probably be close to done but he won a batting title this year so maybe he can find 80% of that?

Catcher has to get better. Happy with his play behind the plate but he is such a liability while batting that I legitimately wanted him to be DH'd for by Greinke

-Correa? probably gone and I'm ok with that. He's good but I don't think he should be getting the same type of money that the best in the game are getting. He's been healthy for like 1 year and it was a contract year. He will sign a big contract and end up on the IR almost immediately.

I'd love for the Astros to keep Correa, but he's going to want way too much money and someone else will give it to him.

There are times when he plays like a $300M man, and times when he just disappears. Of course that happens to everyone, including some of the other best players in the game.

If they are unwilling to pay Correa then I can't see them paying Bryant.

Trade for Jose Ramirez

Yes. Jeremy Pena will be better than Correa.

Pena may be really good..

But Correa is only 3 years older and has been in the league for 7 seasons.

If Pena is gonna be good then he needs to be good next year.
