Astros forced to have a Mike Stanton one man booth for all 162 in 2020, an unprecedented level of action by the commissioner’s office

Its worth noting that in the Cardinals hacking scandal and the Braves running afoul of international signing rules, both Chris Correa and John Coppolella caught lifetime bans from MLB. Now those involved intentional actions by those guys, this is an action by the dugout guys.
Either way, I think you better get your goodbyes in for Ludlow and Hunch before they get sent into timeout for half the season or more.

There are very few things that would make me not watch the stros and that’s one of them
Well I guess with the new no blackout policy for mlb.tv we could just listen to away feed

We designated Dean Deetz so maybe he can be interim manager since he’s looking for employment...

They better be ready to give the other teams the same punishment.

Sorry to be a ball buster but since the cloud of doom and gloom hangs over us, I may as well break it to you.
The blackouts still exist. I saw the same news you did but never saw anything follow that up so I went digging last week. MLB did return ownership of digital rights to the individual franchises to negotiate their carriage on their own but that's essentially for everyone's next TV deal whenever that comes about... so for now, they still abide by the rules of current regional tv contracts which include the blackouts.
The only thing that changed was that the teams now directly own their digital content rights and can negotiate that content like TV deals, rather than the league owning and negotiating everything through MLB.TV. So down the road, we could see teams negotiate an in market streaming subscription service. The bad news for us is that it's not just a network we're partnered with...its DirecTV/AT&T that owns our Network so their interests are with generating or maintaining pay TV subscribers.

We're getting to mid January and Reddick is still an Astro. I have concerns.

International money
Draft picks lost
Hunch/Ludhow suspension
Team fine in the millions

I’m still upset over the World Series. I come back here and read all this nonsense and I’m not even sure I’m looking forward to the season starting. Especially with the lack of moves in the offseason.

Hinch and Cora with lifetime bans, Luhnow suspended for a minimum a year if not a lifetime ban there too.
I can’t imagine we get a postseason ban but it wouldn’t surprise me at this point.
Loss of first round pick for multiple years

The biggest arbitration case in terms of both salary and the gap between sides: George Springer vs. the Astros. He's asking for $22.5 million and Houston is offering $17.5 million, sources tell ESPN.

I think the lack of any significant acquisitions or trades is directly attributable to no one knowing exactly what the punishment will be...at least I hope that’s why...

No
I think no offseason moves are a result of the WS or bust Greinke deal
And that deal was set up to pay off bigly, right up to the point our lame duck manager decided to actually do something more than observe.

The core of the team is fine. Where we’ll get into trouble is if springer and/or Correa leaves and there’s no viable replacement.
Pitching staff is obviously weaker than last year. But I trust us to put together a decent staff

I surely have no argument to that sentiment.
