Astros loaded the bases with 1 out, Yankees made a pitching change and Hainer GIDP on a 1-0 pitch.

He's got to work on getting the ball off the ground this year. He dropped from 23 HR to 16 HR in way more ABs because his GB% went from 43 to 51 and he saw a 10% drop off in flyball percentage.

AJ Blubaw is getting knocked around a bit in his first couple outings.

Even from that picture it’s pretty evident you out kicked your coverage

Congrats!

Grats baw. I suppose you'll be spending your evenings watching Grey's Anatomy with the Mrs instead of bitching in the DAT about Pena chasing sliders. We'll remember you

I am still highly skeptical of how he will be out there, but I agree if you’re going to do it you have to commit to it. Playing him out there like 30% of the time probably isn’t useful or going to help him improve at the position

Yed would be better, but the knees

Altuve's numbers are good enough to DH only, but Yed

I really think ultimately it will be all about production at 2B, and Tuve will end up there

Unless of course they decide to rush Cam Smith and Paredes slides over

We will need Dubon in the OF, and Chas and Jake will be Chas and Jake

Assuming Altuve is the everyday LF, I assume Dubon is slotted in as our everyday 2B right now. Which I don't love. There's not many options though.

Dubon is such a massive improvement defensively at 2B over Altuve. No matter where Altuve plays there’s going to be 3 pretty rough bats in the bottom of this order

I still have hope they can get something out of Rodgers too. I haven’t watched or heard about swing changes but I know he had the highest ground ball rate of any regular last year and mentioned trying to hit the ball in the air more when they signed him.

I think we'll end up finding this out sooner rather than later. I just don't see one of Chas and Jake making it any significant time as a starter, forcing Dubon out there.
