It's pretty crazy that Altuve went to the team and offered to give up his 15 year position and move to a position he's never played to facilitate Bregman coming back. And Bregman isn't willing to take the best offer he's gotten. What a middle finger to Altuve.

I think he has at least two 6 year deals on the table (us and Detroit, maybe Toronto also) so I’m not sure why he hasn’t just accepted one of them. I’d be surprised if Boras is repping him and Alonso after this winter

I saw where Boras had a no-contact clause that Alonso signed that didn't allow other agents to contact him for 6 months. I expect that clock starts now.

Funny how one writer thought the Matt Chapman contract was going to be the floor of what Bregman got. Guess that could still happen but starting to look it it might be the ceiling.

Evidently Bregman recently said he only wants 6 or 7 years. But those are the only 2 offers and it seems that those are not places he wants to be.
Sounds like he hopes to only be one more place in his career. He can either be someplace he doesn't like, take a 2-3 year deal with options, or take less money. His math just isn't mathin'.

Just let him walk. He made his decision after his last popup that for whatever reason he didn’t want to be an Astro lifer and have his jersey retired alongside Altuve’s.
He can go be irrelevant in Canada or hit .230 for the rest of his career in Wrigley if he pleases. This has been a frustrating few weeks with him.
