Wanted to discuss the Bregman MVP article from earlier without bumping last nights thread.
Bregman is worth 7.2 WAR according to Baseballreference
Trout is worth 8.1 WAR
Now without each player the Astros are 87-58 with a 2.5 game lead in the west
The Angels are 59-87
Astros are still in first although it is tighter while the Angles move from 11th worst record to the 3rd worst.
So who is more valuable? Trout is the difference between an 11th draft pick and 3rd while Bregman is the difference between best record in MLB to winning the division with the 4th best record in baseball.
If Trout misses any significant time with his injury then Bregman wins this much like Bellinger vs Yellich.
