Look up Framber's numbers up to trade deadline. They did a segment on him the week before deadline on MLBN. His value would have been higher than anything the market had for a rental, esp for a team that felt like they could sign him
And what does it really matter? He is not only of no value to this team at this point, he is a detriment, and he told you that before the deadline.

Before the trade deadline. Strong belief he doesn’t want to be back in Houston and belief that this teams record is fools gold. It wasn’t an irrational take no matter how much some want it to be

Put a hypothetical return together then.
Told you yesterday what was being asked for Cease and it was balked out. What, realistically, could the Astros have gotten back from moving Framber.

It was an irrational take. Despite the feelings of the fans, it was a first place team still in a weak AL. There’s few scenarios a team moves off a perceived front line starter in the scenario the Astros were in unless they were absolutely blown away with a return. And they weren’t going to get the return to warrant that

They were going to trade their #2 on top of the division and two games out of first place in the AL? With Gordon, Alexander, and Gusto behind him?
Huh

Altuve and the shallow pop up. A tale as old as time.

It’s a silly hypothetical that was never going to happen

Absolutely incredible, they hit the ball in the air when they just need ground balls after pounding the ball into the ground for the past two weeks.

As advertised.

I didn’t say it was going to happen. But you guys keep talking about our first place position as if that was who this team was. Many of us could se that this teams record was not indicative of who they were. They won a crazy number of close games and had a ridiculousl number of runs scored with 2 outs, and did it all with a m’slew of injuries. None of what they did before the ASB was sustainable. They are proving it clearly since then and they have the worst formula for a postseason run. And the one thing they were likely to have an abundance of after the guys returning fork injury was starting pitching. Do we even know if they shopped him?

I'm rooting for the scoreless streak at this point. frick em. May as well make history.

What is the organization saying to the guys in the clubhouse by moving him? We can keep saying it’s not really a first place team, but somehow it was and is. Again, it’s easy for fans to say this stuff because these aren’t real human beings (the players) to us. Just numbers on a jersey the org has to manage the human side of it and what they deem best. There’s no world where what was best for the org at that time was moving Framber

What about Jim Crane and Dana Brown make you think they were going to actively tank at the deadline in first place
I am not arguing that this team is a legit WS contender.

Who had Dubon hitting a homerun to end the scoreless streak?
