I have no idea what to expect from him but Baez coming back and pitching to his career numbers would be a huge stabilizer to the pen.

Would have liked to snag Hand, but his salary didn't really fit the bill for another reliever.

Yeah, Judge is such a horrible comparison. Should have used Stanton

Doesn't look like they gave up much for him.

AAA catcher batting under .240 with 28 career minor league homers in over 1,000 ABs.

yeah... The fact that Hand went to Toronto for the price that he went for... 100% Scherzer will be traded.

Price for Scherzer is going to be huge. Definitely will take one of Urquidy or Valdez with a long list of minor league guys. If Nats will pay the rest of his salary this year, I'm all for it. Even though I think Scherzer is a Grade-A a-hole.

So, pick a trade you prefer:

Trade A: Astros get: Bryant and Kimbrel

Trade B: Astros get: Max Scherzer

Assume identical packages are given up... and it will be costly.

Which Trade helps the Astros most?

Think I saw Kaplan say that he was sitting 88-91 in his most recent outing, that’s a good 3-6 MPH from last year. We’ll see how he does in his next few

ETA: and 4-8 from 2019

I wouldn't even consider Framber unless Trea Turner was also involved.

I would consider Urquidy, but not with any huge prospect names.

He's an available FA... the Astros should place a call.

We need another hot wife now that Joe is gone.

Scherzer is pitching.

Bryant and Rizzo are not in the Cubs' lineup.

Brad Hand went to the Blue Jays.

That's all I've got.

What do you do with Bryant? Move Tucker to CF with Bryant in RF?

I'm curious as to how they are going to incorporate Alvarez and Brantley into the lineup against SF and LA.

Bryant has played some CF this year but I dunno if I would be comfortable with him there regularly. I’ll be surprised if Brantley and Alvarez play together in these games

Leon is done. 6 weeks is basically the rest of the minor league season.
