It can easily be argued that Fisher will develop more at this point with playing 60% of the time in MLB versus 100% in AAA. He has made the swing and approach changes he needed to make. He is smoking AAA. Now he needs to play, adjust and grow against MLB pitching.

I think he is still at Fresno to protect his trade value. That little teaser time with the big club certainly didn't hurt it.

I agree about that. I just can't agree that Aoki is contributing positively other than he's not a colossal screw up.

I don't know what people expect for the 8/9 hitter in the lineup. What upgrades are out there?

I'm not a fan of Aoki, but I don't think he's as near the problem people expect. I encourage yall to look around the league and see what the 8/9 hitters on other teams are doing. Last I checked, we had the top 7-8-9 hitting in the league. I HIGHLY encourage a focus on the starting pitching when it comes to personnel changes.

Aoki doesn't even play everyday. Who are you going to go out and get?

Astros are 2nd in the league in runs scored...let shite play out.

I'm definitely not a huge fan of Aoki either, but I agree with everything you have stated. Well said.

It was an awesome series fam. We lit them up today. Devo made them cry. Yuli made them shite their pants. Gattis made them go home.

Great series win and awesome job by our bullpen today. I'm on to Cincinnati

I left out early from DAT, but followed game on TV before leaving for my son's game.

I have never seen Hinch walk that briskly, that early, to the mound, take off his shades, get in a player's face with a finger in his chest.

I don't know about anybody else, but I needed that.

I think part of it is here you are at 21 living the dream w a bright future ahead of you, and you're pissing and shitting it all away looking like Bartolo Colon 25 years before he got there.

This fricking guy.

Also today, with Ernesto Frieri was pitching against the Yankees from whom he opted out. Nitkowski told a story about how he was pitching well in the minors for the Astros but they released him and how you try to be professional about it but you're bitter and have a grudge in the games against the team that didn't select you. Dude never got to pitch against the Astros again so he's clearly still bitter. It all makes sense.

Anyone know any good details, other than box score stats, about the pitcher in Lancaster named Schlitter?

I hope the guy makes it to the Astros... I want Blum to get excited like he does when the Astros do something good and try to say this dudes name.

Lancaster is the Rockies' affiliate now so that's their prospect. Astros now have a High-A club in the Carolina League (Buies Creek, which will become Fayetteville when they get the new stadium there built).

I'm not going to debate the aoki thing, but we have three better options than him. You start the better options if it's my team.

Aoki made a hell of a play in left yesterday.

Can't remember which inning, I want to say it was a later one.

With that being said, we should replace Aoki with Fisher, despite the four downvotes I'm sure to get in the next hour.
