Rome just appeared on High Heat on MLBN and gave a great synopsis on where the Astros stand short and long term if you want to catch a replay
Nothing that a committed fan didn’t already know, but in depth

The Blue Jays, Pirates, Astros and Yankees are still in the bidding for Cuban RHP free agent Yariel Rodriguez (26), per sources. The teams in the bid are not expected to make a decision with Rodríguez until the negotiation of Yoshinobu Yamamoto's contract is finalized.
Cranes best and final offer is said to be a coupon for a free basket of riblets at Applebee's, a Dave & Busters card from 2018 that still has $9.50 loaded on it and a tree planted in his honor in Cooba.

Well, Amsinger had a show on afterward about card collecting with Lidge as a guest and just when he stated he concentrated on pre-War cards, my stream was lost. And being a Ted Williams playing days ‘39-‘60 collector, he had me at hello and said goodbye. LOL
I havent cut the cord, but Im trying fiber in my newly built poolhouse with a Wifi for TV and golf sim. There’s been some growing pains b/c I’m not tech savvy.
Russo asked every good question that us DATers would have asked and the answer was exactly what we would expect. So instead of listing what I can recall, shoot me a question you’re not sure of the obvious answer

I would trade some riblets, a Dave &busters card, and a brand new quart of egg nog for that ornament.

Sounds like Uncle Jim dropped by your house for Christmas.

Let's all laugh at the White Sox and their new catcher.

Watch him report to spring training 170 pounds lighter and have an MVP caliber season.
It could happen…
Right after my New Years morning turd comes to life and sings the star spangled banner.

Dana Brown on Jose Abreu: “The first thing we are going to do with Jose Abreu is give him more time off. Maybe DH him some, give Singleton some at-bats… I think if we would have rested him more… It will give him more production.”
So cheap were going to keep Singleton around on the bench

Billy Wagner is at 76.8% of Hall of Fame votes that have been made public (63 out of 82). The 82 public ballots are about 21% of the 389 total ballots. He needs 75% or 292/389 for election. Wagner is likely to wear an Astros cap if elected. Inductees will be announced on January 23.

13 more ballots revealed today, Wagner was on 11 of them.
Wagner is at 78.1% (75/96 public ballots).
He needs 217 of the 293 outstanding ballots (74%)
If he gets in, it's going to be a nailbiter.
