but I can't hate Mookie. He's a nice guy and he's a player I'd love if he were on my team.

Oh certainly. This really isn’t anything personal towards him. As i mentioned in my earlier melt this week, this is a hypocrisy thing. Why are he and others not catching hell just because they’ve switched teams. And in his case, it’s even more magnified because of the Mays/Ruth comparisons.

I firmly believe it is due to the combination of Houston not being a blueblood team, the tanking, Luhnow himself not being particularly liked in MLB. (Hearsay. Don’t know if this is true)

I figured this was the matchup the media was secretly rooting for if they couldn't have Yankees/Dodgers. The most hated team vs. the big market. It would have gotten more viewers than what we have now.

The media would have LOVED an Astros/Dodgers world series. The perfect good vs. evil scenario in their world.

I do like Kershaw and Seager though. They're cool dudes. Don't really care for the rest of the team.

Watching TB against us in the ALCS and this World Series, I would totally be on board with hiring Kyle Snyder as a manager after Dusty is gone

Y'all lost the division and it wasn't even close. Looking forward, Springer is gone, Brantley is gone, Verlander is dead. Correa is made of glass. Whitley is on meth. Y'all get Yordan back, and Tucker finally doesn't look lifeless, and that's about it for things to look forward to. Greinke has one more year left. I mean, if you want to pin your hopes on McCullers, Framber, and Urquidy being the arms of the future, be my guest.

Look mate, this isn't the Cardinals thread, so I don't know why that would bother you. Now I'm not sure what their stance is on honoring rapists / child abductors, but that's for you to research.

Correa should win, but Simmons is tough competition. Assuming he was nominated... would be bullshite otherwise.

Maldy should be nominated as well.
