Probably nothing. Bauer is a bit of a weirdo.

1) He lives in Houston.

2) He wants social media attention.

He is. Signing with Houston would actually be a very Trevor Bauer thing to do.

I am all in on Bauer

The exact kind of guy that you like when he’s pitching for you

He and Strommy might get along

Crackpipe theory time:

I used to work out at a place called the Texas Baseball Ranch in Montgomery. Bauer knew the owner and would come down during summers for offseason training in college. Lo and behold, Brent Strom also knew the owner there and ran multiple camps with him, while he was between jobs with the Nats & Cardinals back in the day. They've definitely crossed paths out there before...

Josh James out 6-8 months. Hip surgery.

What a shame

He hurt it twisting after a pitch to see the ball go out of the yard

This is his time to dedicate himself to true fitness or fade away. If James wants it, he can be a really good MLB pitcher.

We have seen his stuff

It's great

But there has to be a statute of limitations on how long you get to get it together

That outing against the Red Sox in the playoffs looked like the beginning of a great career, but....

If Frambaw can figure it out, anyone can.

A shame that he is hurt. But every time he pitches I'm holding my breath to see if it's a strikeout, a walk, or a homer.

Anyone else happy for our old friend Brett Phillips?

Also, is that the worst trade in Astros history?

We gave up an eventual 2 time all star closer for Carlos Gomez who was a bust and Mike Fiers who ratted the team out. All in, that trade cost us

Josh Hader
AJ Hinch
Jeff Luhnow
2 first round draft picks
2 second round draft picks
$5 million

Yes, it is and will forever be the worst trade in franchise history.

The other three guys we gave up, Phillips, Domingo Santana, and Adrian Houser, have all had major league careers as well.

Santana even has a few good seasons under his belt.

Fiers was our most consistent pitcher for months prior to JV’s arrival

He saved the pen, pitching the most innings the 2 mos prior

He’s a POS, and will NEVER be treated the same in a locker room for the rest of his short, agonizing stay in the league

But he played a significant role in 2017, even though his exclusion from the playoff roster led him to reveal his true colors
