Hinch never should have started Verlander on 3 days rest. Worst case scenario by starting urquidy is a game 5 at home with JV on the bump with full rest. Worst case scenario by starting JV is you lose and have to start Cole on 4 days rest game 5. After throwing 115+ pitches one has to wonder how much juice he’ll have.

But beyond Hinch the at-bats have been pathetic. Discipline and approach is not becoming of a 107 win team.

Most upsetting is that the team has looked dead since getting punched in the mouth in the first inning. I would expect some of the veterans to be pacing that dugout getting after people. But they’re all just moping around.

This game is legitimately going to end where the Astros won’t have a chance to at the very least have the tying run in the on deck circle since the Rays took the lead in the first. That’s absolutely pathetic.

I love Bregman’s confidence and swagger but he’s got to cut out the “we are going to” this or that shite. The rest of the lineup is to gutless to back up his shite talk more times than not.

I don’t know what game y’all are watching but the rays are pitching their asses off. They’ve struck us out on the corners and when we have hit it on play it's right at people. Momentum doesn’t carry from one game to the next when changing stadiums so I like our Chances

Do or die time. At least get some momentum.

Cole is on normal rest and it will be a win or go home game. Let’s play what if and by our offense output I’d say safe to say we still lose regardless.

Now you are risking a one game playoff and if you lose you become the team that started Gerrit Cole once in a series losing effort to be knocked out of the playoffs by the rays

Let's score one run.. just to see how it feels. A baseball "just the tip" if you will.

That’s not what they’ve been trained to do. Hinch is not a rah rah guy. If the game doesn’t fall in line like the pregame planning thought it should he’s clueless and has no idea how to adjust or get the team motivated.
