I realize hindsight is easy, but I was wondering this.
If you are up 2 games to 1 and you have the best 1-2 combo in pitching.. would it maybe be better to save your two studs for a potential game 5, rather than run Verlander out on only 3 days rest? I am not sure sure if it's been 3 days or not.
To me, it would almost seem worth it to save Verlander on more rest and also have Cole for relief as well..

This is 100% on AJ and I typically take up for him.
Panic fricking move starting JV with a series lead even though I get the logic.
Allow your team to be the worst baserunning team in baseball for three straight years and get burned in a monster spot because there is not an emphasis on the value of having runners on base.
This sucks.

JV has the velocity but he’s catching too much of the strike zone waaaay too often. Thank God Urquidy gets to eat innings. Burn him for 3 innings at least.

For most people they trust their 4th starter enough, Hinch did not and wanted to run his ace to complete the series. Not a bad idea as it would have given Cole and Verlander 2+ starts each vs the Yankees
