Springer has hit leadoff all year. Everybody else has moved around. I think if you're Hinch you risk further sending the team into panic mode if you radically change the lineup into something it hasn't been all year.
Springer looks shellshocked leading off. He's yet to have a really good lead off AB all series. He then returns to the dugout and his anxiety is contagious. Reddick or Bregman look the same, and then altuve has the weight of the world on his shoulders hitting with two outs after hit garbagevABs. it's been a vicious cycle and it's sucking the confidence out of this team...anyone can see it. Something has to get them going.

If Hinch has Gattis in the lineup against Severino, I'll be shocked. Hope I'm wrong

Not to beat a dead horse, but....

Before this week in the Bronx, the Astros hadn't had four hits or fewer in three consecutive games since their opening series of 2015.

they're gonna win the series

I am not sure why people confuse terrible hitting like this with quitting. It's actually quite the opposite, they've been tight as hell and pressing like crazy because they feel the pressure. It's pretty obvious. That's a lack of mental toughness but it isn't quitting.

It’s because 80 percent of the people who post in the dat are idiots.

Lets get the Astros magic going for tomorrow
We need Billy Hatcher and Chris Burke to give speeches before the game on being clutch. Maybe Jason Lane, too
Just no Kevin Bass. My dad still wont talk about him striking out in 86. That team was the GOAT Astros team

They forgot how to Work a pitch count, swing at awful pitches and have been given then green light at 3-0 pitch around (looking at bregman)
It’s an example of returning to you old self in high pressure situations

@brianmctaggart Astros talked about how loud it was at Yankee Stadium: "New York is no joke," Keuchel said. "This is a wild place to play," Springer said. quote: Correa: "It was crazy. I never heard anything as loud as it was yesterday when Gary hit that double. Loudest I've ever been part of."
This is simply an admission that the stage was too big for them. I admire them for at least being honest, but it's obviously something that they have to adjust to and move past. This team will never be successful if they can't play their game with an intimidating crowd on them.
Like Shane said, they're playing super tight and pressing. It's affecting their AB's. A new approach is needed by most. The Yankees are attacking most of our hitters early in the count with hittable pitches to get ahead. Make the adjustment. Stop trying to pull outer half pitches and rolling over on weak ground balls. Drive the ball the other way. Make the adjustment. The thing is, these aren't even difficult things to correct.
