i mean he completed 66% as a SR.

56 TD vs 16 INT as a JR/SR combined

plus 24 rushing TDs.

maybe he'll crap out but he was a hell of a college QB

Brady's, who's quite possibly the GOAT QB, was taken in the 6th round.

He wasn't quite as good as these 3, but he put up numbers that approached Cam/Tebow/Manziel, and he did it at Mississippi State. For people being critical because he was horizontal, he put up 8+ YPA, which is comfortably above average. He's one of only 4 QBs ever to throw for 60 TDs and rush for 40 in a career (second in SEC to do it, after Tebow '07). He really was damn good, and was one of the more underrated college players of the past decade since he never really sniffed the Heisman.

Let me ask you something, bro.

Would you rather have Dak Prescott, or the guys that LSU had while DP15 was at Mississippi State?

That proves absolutely nothing.

I'm trying to gauge his thought process. If he doesn't think Dak Prescott was any good, then he must think LSU quarterbacks were straight garbage during that same timeframe.

Literally the first time I have ever heard him referred to anything besides "Dak"

Everybody thinks that. It's a pretty lame point to try to make

That is the gayest fricking name ever - is it really "Dakota"?

Almost every great QB in the league was taken at the very front of the draft.

I doubt Dak ever becomes an NFL starter, but this just isn't true.

Tom Brady
Drew Brees
Tony Romo
Derek Carr
Russell Wilson
Kirk Cousins

All good to great starting QBs pick outside the first round, and that's just currently. Historically you have some of tGOAT picked relatively low.

and then you have people like cam, aaron rodgers, peyton, carson palmer, roethlisberger, etc from last year who were all drafted in teh first round

and you also have your number of those that went in the first round. QBs, just like every where else, is a crap shoot

There are 25 QBs from the modern era, 12 drafted in the first round and 13 drafted 2nd round or later (or not at all in Warren Moon's case). So sure it's just about even, but there are a whole lot more of rounds 2-later than there are Round 1.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but I'm pretty sure Brees was the first player taken in the second round and Carr was one of the top three-four picks in the second round.

He lacks elite arm strength and his mechanics are marginal. (Again, I say this as a State fan.)

I think he's Rex Grossman with a better set of wheels.
