I mean, there's a solid chance that Pineda and Nova will be a solid 1-2 for the last 4 months of the season.

I still believe CC can give you innings.

It's a lot on Tanaka. I hope if he needs surgery, he gets it ASAP.

I have zero faith Pineda can be healthy. Last year was the first time in 3 seasons in NY he pitched and he gave 13 starts. That's Pavano-esque shite.

I like Nova if he can get his shite together. He's too inconsistent to count on as a 1 or 2 IMO. He has ace shite at times but he is inconsistent.

CC can eat innings. That's it.

I hope like hell he made the right choice. I'm not holding my breath though.

He can eat innings, well at this stage he can be a 6 inning eater with an ERA over 4.00. If he didn't have the contract Yankees wouldn't hold onto him imo

The funny thing is that last year CC put up K and BB rates that were right at his career best, which is usually the first factor to look at for a pitchers success. He just got hammered when the ball was put into play. If he healthy, I think he can be solid. No one is going to run a 24% HR/FB rate all year. Granted I think you would have to regress his K and BB numbers too. Can't expect him to keep matching his careers bests there.

So that will come out to about $2.5 million per start, right?

He was 21 his rookie year. The Rockies bought him out instead of picking up his option. He was an intriguing option and I was hoping the Astros would look at him but not at that price. He has been pretty solid when he actually pitches

Yeah Astros let him go in rule 5. He has a ton of talent, he was just starting to get frustrated in the minors with the Astros organization and was starting to have a pretty bad attitude which was effecting his performance according to some reports.

He probably just needs a change of scenery and will do fine for the Rangers.

Royals sign Alex Rios for 1/$11 mill.

Yikes - that may be the worst signing ever.

I'm hearing Wil Myers may be going to the Padres.

If you think last year was disappointing for him, imagine him in Petco in the Padres lineup.
