They may or may not have had COVID before. Testing positive doesn't even mean you're infected. They could be scraping virus out of their nose for all we know and that was the extent of it.

And are we going to do this for other contagious viruses where the risk of serious illness/death to the category of person's involved is miniscule? What about if a player has a cold? The flu? Might not be a large risk. But the risk isn't 0%
