Those look absolutely fricking horrendous.
Yeah, I "get it" what they're trying to do. But this isn't a sorority party with a fun theme attached to it it's a gd football uniform. And what is the thread tying it all together? Like if Coastal Carolina was beating everyone in teh country's arse back in the 90s I could see some relevance, but otherwise?? The guys wearing that uniform weren't even born in the 90s! It's like they just picked a random arse decade and asked chat GPT to put a design concept together and then ran with it.

Too bad Party City went bankrupt or they would have been the perfect corporate sponsorship for that jersey.

But why?
What is "Name a way that you know your program is unserious".
This is the type of shite a Southland Conference softball team would do, not a D-1 football program

The early 90’s pop-culture and style, before grunge completely took over and brought mass depression to everyone, was a pretty fun time.
I think it went the other way. Nirvana released their seminal album Nevermind in 1991 and after a year or two radio and the record companies had softened the harder stuff off to create hits by Dave Mathews, Hootie and the Blowfish, Spin Doctors, Smashmout etc.
I agree it was a fun time decade.

As someone who is in the college athletics communications business... which means having to try to actually see numbers from the press box to keep the in-game stats... I want to punch the designer of these
Those numbers are impossible to read from a distance
