I'm not sure what that should be called...but to me, if it is a catch and he had sure possession, it just as easily could have been ruled down for forward progress because he was steadily pushed backwards 5 yards without every showing signs of moving forward, all the while the corner is swiping.

If he toe taps going out of bounds and drops it at any point its not a catch.

Three steps backwards should have triggered forward progress if you want to say that’s a catch. You can’t have it both ways.
