re: Chris Scelfo was 6-5 two years after TU went 12-0. Desormeaux is 5-5 two years after ULL…

What's ironic is that Scarborough is a UL dropout.
You’d swear a UL/USL athlete stole his girlfriend/boyfriend back in the day the way he acts.
He’s overcompensating for some serious insecurities

You said vast majority so this doesn't disprove your point but I still think it's funny. Was it the guy that runs Ragin Review that wrote a letter to the boss at 103.7 furious that Moscona's show was going to play in Lafayette?
Why would someone object to Moscona's show playing in Lafayette?

Is it really the coach or just that these lesser programs have the stars align for a year or two once in awhile and it was never going to be sustainable?
Southern Mississippi nod in agreement.

ULL fans on Ragin Pagin are blaming Transfer Portal and NIL.
Weird that their 5 losses are against Old Dominion and 4 peers in the Sun Belt that have same issues.

You seem obsessed.
We appreciate your dedicated interest in our program, though. Thank you.

Knew Chris and Keith Richard at NLU in the 80's. In 1998 Chris became Tulane's football coach and Keith became Tech's basketball coach. At the 2000 Peach Bowl, I ran into another guy that was at NLU playing baseball during the same time. Both of us were feeling like nobodies because everyone in the state didn't know our names. We were both salesmen. He worked for a beer distributor and I worked for a newspaper.

ODU is in the SBC and the fans aren’t blaming the portal. The portal has hurt this team, but it’s still one of the top 3 most talented teams in the SBC. But the coaching is poor. Especially the fundamentals and discipline.
The Cajuns should be 9-1.

I usually support ULL since it's my hometown school but big portion of the fan base is insufferable.
After LSU lost to Bama last week they were posting all about how quiet LSU fans are tonight. My 5-7 prediction might happen and couldn't happen to a better group of losers

They have been competitive in every game so far.
It's so obvious it is coaching

To be fair, LSU fans tend to troll as well. It’s not always one-sided.

The "starsaligned" for Southern Miss for about 1/4 Century.
That Desormeaux's Cajuns AREN'T getting blown out is why there may be hope. That could be fixable with new coordinators and other coaching changes. Some coaches are reluctant to make those sort of moves (willingness to dump coaches is another strength of Willie Fritz). Contrast that to Scelfo who was getting blown out 4-5 times per season, including his 2 winning seasons; that is irredeemable.
As for stars aligning, sometimes they do permanently align: K State football, TCU football, Gonzaga basketball. The key is to figure out who the real brains of the operation is. IN TCU and Gonzaga's case, it was an assistant coach. They made the right replacement and haven't looked back. But in all 3 cases, the brains of the operation stayed for a long, long time.

That’s the thing. Napier had contacts and a network in the coaching community.
Exactly. This is what frustrates me so much about the hire of Des. Needed to at least grab a coach with more exposure and experience in other places around the country. And our OC is named Leger..

To be fair, most people that go online to post stuff like this are idiots or just those people who like attention and have fun annoying others.

That’s the biggest mistake you can make as a G5 program, settling for a coach because you think he’s loyal and won’t leave.
If you experience an erection lasting longer than four hours while thinking about Jeff Bower, consult a medical professional right away.

So some Cajuns fans (dorks considering we had just lost to Arky State that same day) went into troll mode like every other fanbase does. Ok.
Stop whining.

Starting QB was knocked out. They have been starting a freshman. They've lost several very good players to the portal.
