Should always let the facts come out.
But, its most likely either his wife or a kid (if he has any). Either way he would be fricked.
Its POSSIBLE its a brother or brother in law or something... but doubtful.
All in all, he's likely gone, nothing probably happens criminally and in a few years he rehabs his career at some midmajor.

There's zero way a big, major public university can keep someone if he's convicted of a violent felony against a family member. Not a chance in the world.
