OMG, FAU is in the Final Four. There goes the neighborhood.

I love that someone can win for the first time. These teams usually get the short end of the stick, and now that they have a chance, a bunch of people are bitching and moaning.

?

Is there something wrong? Do you need a hug?

It's a 4-year old meme. Just rub one out and move on.

So you don’t want to watch these games because it’s schools that don’t ever make it this far? I don’t understand that line of thinking. Just because it’s not a blue blood school? Why?

I’ll watch either way, but it’s the same reason the Yankees, cowboys, and Ohio state football get a lot of prime time. People watch brands.

That's not entirely true. They typically have clauses built into advertising agreements that state if X number of people don't watch the game then we will refund X amount of your dollars.

They don't refund money in tv. They give makegoods, which stipulate that they make up for it in future ads elsewhere (future events, shows, etc)

There won't be anything better on TV. It will be refreshing to see a new team play for a title. I don't get why it's so difficult to watch. Is it on TBS again?

I thought all the games were fixed according to this board and my 75 year old dad.

Should they just have the tournament and once the elite 8 is done, you just let UNC and Kentucky play in the Final Four without earning anything? What a ridiculous take.

No. They don’t have to change anything. Just bc I’m not as interested in the matchups doesn’t mean they should change the entire tournament.

And why is it a ridiculous take for me to prefer watching the tops seeds play compared to cinderellas? It’s just a preference.

An FAU vs Miami matchup didn't interest me in December or January or February. It sure isn’t going to be must see TV for me in April.

I don’t think FAU is a Cinderella.

In regard to being a blue blood, uconn is the college basketball equivalent to Miami hurricanes football.
