Like I said earlier... if a graphic designer submitted this logo to their boss and said, "see, it's a cougar, and it's got the letters in it!" They'd be fired on the spot.
Considering graphic design majors spent their formative years playing inside on the computer and not outside hunting and fishing, I doubt they could differentiate between a cougar and a snail darter. So your hot take isn't near as clever as you thought.

Most NFL logos face right, but Philadelphia faces left, so the feathers form a E for Eagles.

You keep pushing this hot take, yet the designer got it not only approved, but it's now an iconic logo. You should probably drop this provenly false opinion

This is beyond stupid.

Stangest crusade anyone has gone on the MSB.
Almost no one agrees with you, time to pack it in.

I went like 18 years of my life until I realized there was a W & an S in that logo

From a graphic design standpoint, could you explain why the Wisconsin logo is actually considered good?
I’ve always thought the crooked waving unevenness of it lessened the uniform’s toughness. I see Big 10 uni, Conference USA helmet logo. Yuck.

I noticed the details of the logo yesterday and thought it was a pretty cool logo.

The Wisconsin logo with its curviness is pretty wimpy looking.

Do you know what a cougar looks like?

the letters aren't nuanced
The should have just plastered a block red and white W right? That would be WAY more nuanced

Can we talk about the Washington St logo? by Chitown_Badger
So you start the thread to talk about something but spend most of it talking about how much you know and bashing those that disagree with you.

It's nuanced.

It's also worth pointing out that the person lecturing the class on the nuance and touch of graphic design can't post a picture of the Wisconsin helmet without screenshotting it and posting it to Imgur.
Reminds me of the Paul Pierce screenshot emoji.

And there are tons of other schools that use the motion W as their logo, because it's a great design.

Because it is unique and specific to Wisconsin, like the A design to Arizona.
Well, which is it? It cant be both.
