Can we admit the Pats played a trash schedule now?

Yep. This really isn’t surprising.

Pats not taking it this year.

Dont let this thread make you forget that Brady is nothing more than a system QB and literally any kinda sorta ok QB would have just as much success with belichick as his coach

Even considering the schedule, they’ve been insanely great.

But...yes.

Records of the teams they played before tonight, including today’s games?

Pitt: 4-4
Miami: 1-7
Jets: 1-7 (x2 )
Bills: 6-2 (close game and QB out for end of game)
Redskins: 1-8
Giants: 2-6
Browns: 2-6

Jesus Christ. 17 wins and the Bills have 6 of them

Did that matter in their super bowl wins? What about when Clemson played Alabama and was sure to lose because of their “lesser” schedule....

It’s aging fine. The Pats aren’t near as strong as usual, and their “defensive dominance” has been propped up by an oddly weak start of season schedule.

Sure they are a solid team but the 8-0 dominant force is a product of the schedule. They can cake walk to the playoffs and will likely get home field fairly easily

Their schedule until this point is literally, objectively very easy

Regardless of the outcome of the game, it’s obvious their schedule has been weak. They still the clear favorite in the AFC. But they can still have a weak schedule. Those records would look better if they all an another win instead of a loss.

You can play a trash schedule and still be a really good team. I don't see how these things are mutually exclusive

Everybody who follows the NFL knows that the AFC North, except for the Pats, is a weak NFL division and has been that way for many years.

I was specifically talking about their vaunted defense that everyone was calling "historic". Obviously the making of playing some of the worst offenses in the NFL.

Also Baltimore has spotted New England 10 points. This game shouldn't be close right now.
