I’ve yet to hear how they verifiably cheated. I understand it has to do with stealing signs. Stealing signs in baseball is not cheating and has been going on since teams started using signs.

Where is the proof that they cheated?

I missed the press conference. What was so bad about the press conference?

You have to be fu€king joking with this. They were caught Red handed. The apology was a fiasco. I’ve read about the elaborate system they had worked out to relay messages to batters but you can easily look it up. This isn’t some wishy washy did they do it kind of thing and it’s a bit more elaborate than simply stealing signs.

They used cameras and a feed to decode signs and relayed them to the batter by banging on a trashcan.

Multiple organizations did very similar actions and this was brought to the team by Carlos Beltran because “the Astros sign stealing was behind the times”. They were the ones to get caught because of a rat Mike Fiers but at this point it is what it is. The Red Sox also have been caught but investigation is “ongoing”

The reason why the press conference was a “failure” was because the players didn’t beg to have their title stripped and their career stats stripped and their season suspended like the media and the public wants. No apology was going to be enough and that’s why the idea to hold it was dumb in the first place. They should have gone full Trump. He’s the only one who understands the current media apology culture.

All I’ve seen are pictures of a random trash can, a fold up table, and a towel.

There will be a lot of Houston fans that try to play this down as alter accounts. Expect to see this increase as the strife across the country continues to build against the franchise.

This is the most important part of the explanation.

Proven by the amount of Astros threads on this board alone. Twitter Army is also in full melt down mode.

Member when Astros’ fans on this board were foaming at the mouth to penalize the Cardinals for one staffer signing into their scouting platform?

Cliff notes: The Astros engaged in a network of espionage that makes the Stasi in East Germany seem like child's play. Erich Mielke would be proud of them.

I’ve already gotten 5 downvotes despite every single thing about it being relatively common place being true and confirmed by articles.

Let the haters down votes rain down still champs

Cryin’ Caig is so mad that even with Beltrans methods they still got swept by Bautista and the jays

You have downvotes because you are playing the "We weren't the only ones doing it and it's not even a big deal" card.

LOL. Troll.

They apologized for cheating, but they didn't cheat.

Morons.
