I don't think Riggins was very fast
Dude had a high school state championship sprinter background. He ran away from Dolphins defenders in that Super Bowl once he broken through the line, and he was 33 years old at that time.
He definitely was football fast for a RB.

Dude's 100% prime football player and I think he'll get a chance, and I think he has the chops to contribute to somebody as a role or situational player, but for reasons cited in this thread I don't see him having an extended pro career.
And Mike Alstott was a beast for me in fantasy football in the late 1990s, I remember him quite fondly ...

He is quite the opposite of LF though. LF was a speedster, this guy has little top end, but is hard to bring down like LF. Cam is quick and low to the ground.
Marion Barber is a great comparison.

It’s so funny that people always compare white athletes to other white athletes

I don’t think I want to bet on him being like the best running back in the NFL.
But surely some team gives him a shot in a latter round. Dude seems to good not to get a shot.
Danny Woodhead got a shot (and contributed) coming out of like a D2 or D3 school.

No. He's a battering ram. Barkley is a marvel of athleticism.

He's going to be the best pass blocking back at the combine.

loved Skatteboo in College but I don’t see his game translating to the NFL. He's way to slow and doesn’t have elite hands needed to be involved in the passing game.
He’s also small. Dude going to measure like 5’8-9 215.
Not a little guy but little for how slow he will be.

John Riggins was a two-time State 60 yard dash Champ and two-time State 100 yard dash Champ.
Broke Gale Sayers records in the state of Kansas. People think of him as the bulldozer fullback and he was that but he was a legit home run hitter. He didn't get run down by anyone.

Not a chance. O. Hampton wil be the best back in this draft. He will be a starter on Day 1.

John Riggins averaged 34 carries a game in the 4 Playoff games he played in winning the Super Bowl. The Redskins rode him to the Title.
