"Female Larry Bird"? Good Lord. I'm a fan of Clark's but Bird was one of the best players in the history of the NBA. And his greatness goes way beyond points scored. Magic described him this way: "it wasn't how many 3's he made, it was WHEN he made them. "
Have you seen her game winners?
Especially the shot against #2 Indiana?
Or the logo winner with 0.1 seconds on the clock.
I mean, she passes like Bird, shoots like Steph and is clutch like Bird.

Men and wimmenz basketball are not the same. Why so many people refuse to accept reality is sad.

Yep. Lots of women haters in this thread. Had no idea we had that many wife beaters on the msb. No wonder this forum likes the NBA.

Pete, playing against women would have been insane
Clark , playing against men, would have been laughable

I'll say this, she's the first person, male or female, 3pt line or not, to eclipse Pete's record after 54 years. You still have to put the ball in the net, regardless of the competition.

I wonder how many points Pete would have had if he played against girls…. ??

You should stop posting. Your takes are infantile.

Wouldn’t there also be an advantage to playing with a smaller ball in the same size rim the men play on with a bigger ball

So is anyone who can't accept that Pearl Moore is the all-time scoring leader in women's college basketball. And by a lot. And has been since the 70s. Ironically a contemporary of Pistol Pete.
And she's African American.

It’s male vs female.
They do not share a record. One is in women’s basketball one is in men’s basketball.
If Caitlyn can do it in 6 years while playing with men then she can have the record. Good for her.
But she can’t and she wouldn’t.
Therefore, good for her for having the women’s record.

I keep saying this, there is no "Men's" basketball. There is basketball and women's basketball. Anyone can play basketball, if they are talented enough. If any of these women wanted to play, there is no rule or law that can block them. It's the same for any amateur or professional sport.

Guys guys, it’s the same sport. In one they throw alley oop dunks and in the other they can barely touch the net but it’s totally the same sport!
So is Middle school basketball a different sport than college basketball?

She would be lucky to get to 10 points in a career vs a men’s team
She's a girl. She's not trying to compete against men.

No. The sport doesn't matter, so neither does the record. That's the point.
Says who? Why doesn't the sport matter. Do the only sports that matter are the ones that you like?

It's meaningless and she can't. I can find a dozen teenagers at the park on a Saturday afternoon that would destroy her..
You can find a dozen teenage girls that would destroy her? Prove it.

She wouldn't play for any regular D1 college team.
In case you missed it. Iowa is a D1 college basketball team.

I can easily find guys from a park that would dominate her and her team/sport. So why does her record matter?
You do realize she's a girl, right? She competes against other girls.

a team of 15 years old boys beat the living shite out of Team USA women's soccer team.
That was a group of nationally ranked 15 year old boys. You do realize that is a really big difference from some random 15 year old kids hanging out at your local park.

She would probably be a bench warmer if she played with the men in college. She's nowhere near Pistol Pete level and the media should be ashamed for pushing this stupid shite on us!
Are y'all dense? No, that's pretty obvious. The question is how dense are y'all?
Nobody is saying that she is better than Pete. Nobody is saying that she would beat Pete in a game of basketball. It's only being stated that Caitlin, as a competitor in women's college basketball, will likely have scored more points overall in her college career than Pete did.
That's it.
